Customizing Assessments

Overview

GRACE allows administrators to create and customize assessments that support governance, risk management, and compliance workflows. Assessments can be applied at different levels of the platform and reused consistently across projects and registry objects.

User Guide

1. Accessing Assessment Administration

• Grace allows you to create and customize assessments.
• To manage assessments, navigate to Administration → Assessment Administration.

2. Assessment Lifecycle States

Within Assessment Administration, assessments can exist in different states:

• Ready-made assessments – Published and available for use
• Draft assessments – In progress and editable
• Archived assessments – No longer active or in use

3. Creating a New Assessment

1. Click Add Draft Assessment to start creating a new assessment.
2. This opens the Assessment Builder, a questionnaire-based editor used to design assessment flows.

4. Building Assessment Flows

The Assessment Builder allows you to:

• Add different types of questions (e.g., text, selection)
• Define question dependencies, enabling:
  • Conditional question visibility
  • Branching logic based on previous answers
• Create complex, multi-step workflows by linking questions together

Example: A follow-up question can be shown only if a specific answer was given in a previous question.

5. Defining Assessment Scope

When creating an assessment, you can specify where it applies:

• Project level
• Use case level
• System level
• Model level

This flexibility allows assessments to be tailored to different governance needs. For example:

• High-level categorization assessments at the use case level
• Technical or compliance-focused assessments at the model level

6. Publishing and Using Assessments

• Once an assessment is finalized and moved out of draft status, it becomes available for use.
• Published assessments can be accessed from:
  • Projects
  • Use cases
  • Systems
  • Models

This ensures consistent assessment processes across all major elements of the Grace platform.
