Update: 2026-01-21

Overview

Grace provides structured workflows for executing system-level assessments. Users can start new assessments, reuse previous versions, and maintain a complete history for governance, audit, and risk tracking purposes.

User Guide
1. Accessing System Assessments
  • Navigate to Systems in the registry.
  • Select a specific system to open its details page.
  • Go to the Assessments section to view all assessments assigned to that system.
2. Starting an Assessment
  • Click on an assigned assessment to begin the process.
  • You have two options:
    • Start with an empty assessment (new assessment run)
    • Load a previous version of the assessment, if one exists
  • Loading a previous version is useful when reassessing a system with similar inputs or updated information.
3. Completing the Assessment
  • Proceed through the questionnaire by answering each question.
  • Navigate using the Next button.
  • The assessment follows a guided wizard-style flow.
4. Assessment Completion and Status
  • After all questions are answered, the assessment moves into the Completed state.
  • Each completed assessment run is stored as a separate version.
5. Assessment History and Traceability
  • Repeating the same assessment multiple times results in a growing list of completed assessment versions.
  • This provides a full historical record of:
    • Previous answers
    • Changes over time
    • Reassessment outcomes
6. Benefits for Governance and Reassessment
  • Maintaining multiple assessment versions supports:
    • Reassessment cycles
    • Audit readiness
    • Risk categorization tracking of AI systems
    • Traceability of previously reported information
  • Example: Track how the risk classification of an AI system evolves over time without losing historical context.
7. Summary
  • Structured execution of system-level assessments
  • Reuse of previous assessment versions
  • Full audit trails and traceability
  • Support for ongoing governance and compliance processes
