Register Systems

Stand: 25.05.2025

Overview

Grace provides a guided wizard to help users register systems in a structured and intuitive way. The system registration process is similar to that of use case registration and includes required metadata, lifecycle stage selection, and model associations.

Step 1: Access the System Registration Wizard

To begin system registration:

  1. Navigate to the top-right corner of the interface.
  2. Click the “Register System” button.

This launches the system registration wizard.

Step 2: Provide System Information

The wizard will prompt you to enter necessary details, including both standard and custom fields (if configured).

Key Fields to Complete
  • Name: Enter a unique and descriptive system name.
  • Description: Provide a brief summary of the system’s purpose and functionality.
  • Hosted on Grace: Indicate whether the system is hosted on the Grace platform.

Step 3: Select Lifecycle Stage

You’ll be prompted to define the system’s current lifecycle stage. Grace provides the following default options:

  • Planning
  • Design
  • Construction
  • Production

Select the appropriate stage that matches your system's current status.

Step 4: Associate Models (Optional)
  1. If the relevant models are already registered, you will be able to select them and associate them with this system.
  2. If the models have not yet been registered, you can skip this step and associate them later.

Step 5: Review and Finalize

After completing the form:

  1. Review the system overview, including:
    • System name
    • Description
    • Lifecycle stage
    • Associated models
  2. Click “Finish” to complete the system registration process.
